Cali-forn-i-a Here we come!

I can't believe it has been almost a month since I posted...but when you read the next few posts, you will understand why.

After staying at Cape Blanco, we continued down the Oregon coast and on into Californ-I-A where we spent the night free in the parking lot of a casino at Smith River, CA.  That’s not the kind of place I would ordinarily hang out, but
Can you see the starfish here?
it was free and we got a discount in the restaurant.  The best part though was the awesome displays put on by the Creator.  We went down to the beach at low tide, hoping that find some tidal pools among the many rocks.  What we found were lots of rocks covered with an array of mollusks.  I don't know all the varieties but Dave said some were clams and some were barnacles.  Some were dark colored, others were light.  I saw 3 starfish plastered to the side of a boulder covered with
mollusks.  In the few pools that still had water there were anemones and something I think is called a straw or a cucumber.  It was all quite fascinating and happening right at sunset to boot!

The next day we moseyed on down to Redding were we wanted to attend services at Bethel Church.  If you have never heard of it check it out at www.bethelredding.com.  We went to a service on Friday night.  Then on Saturday we attended a healing service.  Both Dave and I experienced a touch from God!  On Sunday we attended all 4 services.  Every one worth while even though 3 of them were repeats.  Monday we rested and planned for the next few weeks and on Tuesday we both went for a Sozo session.  What an awesome time in the Lord!

A short jaunt south of Redding brought us to the fabulous Atwood Ranch in Red Bluff, CA JoyFull was born.  Catherine and Mike, the managers, showed us around and I got the meet JoyFull's mom.  To my surprise, she is a palomino (I should check the papers more closely.) She and her palomino-turning-grey foal for this year (who is JoyFull’s full sister) were being weaned.  The Atwood Ranch has such a nature environment and procedure that the process was very anticlimactic.
